Business to Partner (B2P) Loyalty Program

Challenge
Microsoft® needed a way to motivate and recognize partners contributions.
With partners tiered according to the amount of revenue they generate, larger partners have dedicated partner account managers to motivate them.
Microsoft® needed a solution to reward and recognize partners without dedicated account managements without escalating costs in terms of resources.
Besides that, individual countries had different local needs in terms of rewards, language and fulfillment. This led the regional team to seek a solution that could enable them to effectively support the subsidiaries in managing and growing the partner base.
Solution
The regional team decided to use earth9's Nexus Loyalty solution to roll out the Microsoft Business Benefits program across Asia Pacific based on the success of several pilot programs.
earth9 developed an end-to-end infrastructure supporting complex sales feed integration at one end and fulfillment management on the other. The end product, the Microsoft Business Benefits program is a web-based loyalty platform:
- Partners access a partner portal to view points earned; view and redeem benefits available to them.
- Administrators have a complete partner loyalty tool kit:partner approval, profiling, promotions set up, content management, benefit management, email marketing and fulfillment.
- earth9 manages program management and on-going application maintenance and support.
Results
The program as been a proven success:
- It is now rolled out to 12 countries in 4 languages.
- More than 60% of the partners felt the program had a positive impact on revenue
- More than 90% said that they would participate again.
